Invite me to a Fireside or Enrichment Night to speak on:
Women in the Book of Mormon:
- Heather covers an in-depth study of the culture, religious traditions, and everyday life of women in Ancient Israel. She discusses passages in the Book of Mormon and explains the historical and cultural significance of how the daily lives of the women were affected. Special emphasis is placed on the six women mentioned by name in the Book of Mormon.
Literacy: In the World, Not of the World:
- Heather will bring along four to six LDS authors from the LDStorymaker group to discuss the literary and spiritual impact of children seeing parents read, the importance of reading to children, how reading affects our families, the statistics of literacy, how to encourage your children to read the scriptures, what the prophets say about spiritual and temporal literacy, and current trends in the LDS book market. This presentation can be customized for youth groups, Firesides, or Enrichment Nights.
Special Note: There is no charge for any presentation. The presentations can also be customized to fit your ward’s interests and needs. Heather does not use this opportunity to promote her books. She uses the in-depth research she has done on the Book of Mormon and Ancient Hebrew culture to expand her presentations. By request, Heather will bring “give-away” books and have a fun book drawing at the end of the evening.
Check back often for updated information on future events and book signings.
